Feedback and Marking

During their time at Christchurch Junior School, pupils’ progress and attitude to learning are closely monitored. Teaching staff assess each child’s progress by giving feedback on written work, observing practical tasks, listening to reading, talks and discussions as well as making use of tests. Successful learning is praised on our Wall of Excellence and misconceptions are identified and addressed verbally. Feedback is used to identify achievements, run bespoke same day / next day interventions and provide pupils with ownership of their own learning.
